Having brought this large-scale undertaking to its present stage, we are resolved—once it is fully concluded—to compile comprehensive, detailed, and varied indexes, both thematic and technical, for all the volumes, to be issued together in a single book. A number of students of knowledge have already prepared assorted indexes for most of the Shaykh’s writings, yet these still need further completion and correction, as well as the adjustment of page references to match our own editions.

We also extend our thanks to all the scholars who contributed to this important work. As to the critical editing, they are: Shaykh Sulaymān ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-ʿUmayr, lecturer at the Islamic University in Madinah; Shaykh Khālid ibn ʿUthmān al-Sabt, lecturer at the Teachers’ College in Dammam; and Shaykh Saʿūd ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-ʿUrayfī, lecturer at Umm al-Qurā University in Mecca. As to review and correction, they are: Shaykh Aḥmad Ḥāj ʿUthmān and Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥasan ibn Qāʾid. We are likewise indebted to the respected brothers who assisted with proofreading and collation, such as ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Sālim al-Ahdal, Nāyif ibn Muḥammad al-Qiṭṭāʿ, and others.

In closing this introduction, we invite everyone concerned with the works of al-ʿAllāmah al-Shinqīṭī to contact us with any materials they have discovered—books or recordings not yet incorporated into the project—or with corrections to the texts, or suggestions that might enrich and refine the enterprise.

May Allah send His blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions, and grant them peace. All praise is due to Allah; by His favor righteous deeds are brought to completion.
