• Dafʿ Īhām al-Idtirāb (Dispelling the Appearance of Contradiction):
– We consulted several editions of the work: the early impression issued during the Shaykh’s lifetime, the edition published in the Journal of the Islamic University, and the Ibn Taymiyyah Library edition.
– We corrected the text in the same fashion outlined under Aḍwāʾ al-Bayān.
– We revised the book more than three times and, to resolve any problems, referred to the Shaykh’s other writings. We had intended to cite Aḍwāʾ al-Bayān wherever he discusses the relevant passages, but this proved unfeasible.
• Manʿ Jawāz al-Majāz (Refuting the Permissibility of Figurative Interpretation):
– For collation we relied on the early edition printed during the Shaykh’s lifetime.
– We emended the text in the manner described under Aḍwāʾ al-Bayān.
– Because of the large amount of poetry, we verified each poem against its sources in the anthologies and collected diwans, and supplied vocalisation where needed.
– We provided references to the books the Shaykh explicitly cited as his sources.
• Riḥlat al-Ḥajj ilā Bayt Allāh al-Ḥarām (The Pilgrimage Journey to the Sacred House of Allah):
– For collation we relied on the first edition, published in 1403 AH—ten years after the Shaykh’s death—even though he had completed its dictation before he passed away.
– We corrected the work in the same manner stated under Aḍwāʾ al-Bayān.
