of creation in following him enjoy the fullest openness of heart, pleasure, and delight. In proportion to his following of him, a servant attains openness of heart, delight, and pleasure of the spirit. He stands at the pinnacle of perfection in openness of heart, elevation of his renown, and removal of his burden. His followers have a share of these according to the extent to which they follow him. And it is Allah whose help is sought.

Likewise, his followers have a share of Allah’s care for them, His protection of them, His defence of them, the honour He grants them, and His support for them, according to the extent to which they follow him—some receiving little and others much. Whoever finds good should praise Allah, and whoever finds otherwise should blame no one but himself.
