Yahyā ibn Abī Kathīr narrated to me, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah, who reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Paradise has a gate called the Gate of the Midmorning Prayer. On the Day of Resurrection, a caller will proclaim: ‘Where are those who regularly observed the midmorning prayer? This is your gate, so enter through it by Allah’s mercy.’”
Al-Tirmidhī said in al-Jāmiʿ (1): Abū Kurayb Muhammad ibn al-Alāʾ narrated to us; Yūnus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishāq, who said: Mūsā ibn so-and-so narrated to me, from his uncle Thumāmah ibn Anas ibn Mālik, from Anas ibn Mālik, who reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Whoever performs twelve units of the midmorning prayer, Allah will build for him a palace of gold in Paradise (2).”
He said (3): “This is a singular hadith; we know it only through this route of transmission. It appears that Ahmad considers (4) the most authentic report on this subject to be the hadith of Umm Hāniʾ” (5).
I say: This Mūsā ibn so-and-so is Mūsā ibn Abd Allāh ibn al-Muthannā ibn Anas ibn Mālik (6).
