Another error, reported by al-Tabarī (1) from one of them, is the claim that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) entered Mecca on Tuesday. This is incorrect: he entered it on Sunday morning, the fourth of Dhū al-Hijjah.

Another error is the claim that he (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) ended his state of ihram after circumambulating the Kaaba and passing between al-Safā and al-Marwah, as stated by Judge Abū Ya‘lā and his associates. We have already explained that this error rests on a mistake by Mu‘āwiyah, or by someone who narrated from him, in reporting that he trimmed the Messenger of Allah’s hair (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) with an arrowhead at al-Marwah during his Hajj.

Another error is the claim that he used to kiss the Yemeni Corner during his circumambulation. What he kissed was actually the Black Stone. It was called the Yemeni Corner because it and the other corner are collectively called the two Yemeni corners; thus some narrators referred to it individually as the Yemeni Corner.

Another is a serious error by Abū Muhammad ibn Hazm (2): the claim that he jogged for three lengths between al-Safā and al-Marwah and walked for four. More astonishing still is his mistaken assertion that there was agreement on this view, which no one but he had expressed.
