Otherwise, it is authentically established that he jogged during the first three circuits of the arrival circumambulation—unless we say (1), as Ibn Hazm said concerning the passage between al-Safā and al-Marwah (2), that he jogged while riding his camel, for someone whose camel jogs carrying him (3) has himself jogged. Yet none of the hadiths states that he was riding during the arrival circumambulation. Allah knows best.

Ibn Hazm said (4): “He also traversed between al-Safā and al-Marwah seven times, riding his camel, trotting for three and walking for four.”
This is one of his errors and mistakes, may Allah have mercy on him. No one else has ever said this, nor has anyone reported it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). This applies only to circumambulation of the House; Abū Muhammad mistakenly transferred it to the passage between al-Safā and al-Marwah.
More astonishing still is his citing as evidence the report he transmitted through al-Bukhārī (5), from Ibn ‘Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) circumambulated upon arriving in Mecca, first touching the corner, then jogging for three circuits and walking for four. Having completed his circumambulation of the House (6), he prayed two units of prayer at the Station of Abraham, then concluded with the salutation of peace and departed. He then came to al-Safā and traversed between al-Safā and al-Marwah seven
