How sound this justification would be if these (1) hadith were authentic! Yet not a single word of them is authentic.
As for the hadith of Ibn ‘Umar, its chain includes al-Hasan ibn ‘Umārah. Al-Dāraqutnī said (2): “No one narrated it from al-Hakam except al-Hasan ibn ‘Umārah, whose hadith are rejected.”
As for the first hadith of ‘Alī, it is narrated by Hafs ibn Abī Dāwūd. Ahmad and Muslim said: “Hafs’s hadith are rejected.” Ibn Khirāsh said: “He is a liar who fabricates hadith” (3). Its chain also includes Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmān ibn Abī Laylā, who is weak (4).
As for his second hadith, it is narrated by ‘Īsā ibn ‘Abd Allāh ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Umar ibn ‘Alī, who said: “My father narrated to me from his father, from his grandfather.” Al-Dāraqutnī said (5): “‘Īsā ibn ‘Abd Allāh is known as Mubārak, and his hadith are rejected.”
As for the hadith of ‘Alqamah from ‘Abd Allāh, it is narrated by Abū Burdah ‘Amr ibn Yazīd, from Hammād, from Ibrāhīm, from ‘Alqamah. Al-Dāraqutnī said (6): “Abū Burdah is weak, and those below him in the chain are weak.” End of quotation. Its chain also includes ‘Abd al-‘Azīz ibn Abān. Yahyā said: “He is a wicked liar.” Al-Rāzī and al-Nasā’ī said: “His hadith are rejected” (7).
