Therefore, the call to pure monotheism must remain the focal point in every Muslim society or grouping that is sincerely and vigorously pursuing the aim proclaimed by almost all Islamic movements: the formation of an Islamic society and the establishment of a Muslim state that rules by what Allah has revealed in any land where His law is not applied. These groups or factions will never achieve this shared objective—toward which they all strive so earnestly to render a concrete reality—unless they begin with the very starting point adopted by the Messenger ﷺ. 50
