and the negation (taʿṭīl) they have forced upon those texts and then dignified with the name of “interpretation”! Thus it stands proven that they have united three offenses: reading anthropomorphism into the passages, adopting the doctrine of negation, and attributing to their Speaker an intent directly opposed to clarity and guidance. Allah alone is the One whose help is sought.
