they counted it among his exclusive merits, for the attempt to equate(1) it with His words, “Have they not seen that We created for them, out of what Our hands have fashioned, cattle?” (Ya Sin 36:71) was nothing but sheer error(2).

Likewise, the Prophet ﷺ said in an authentic hadith: “Allah will seize His heavens in His hand and the earth in the other hand.”(3)

He also said: “Allah’s right hand is full; spending does not diminish it—unceasingly giving night and day. Have you considered all that He has spent since He created the creation? It has not lessened what is in His right hand. In His other hand is the Balance; He lowers and raises with it.”(4)

Allah, Exalted is He, also says: “The Jews said, ‘Allah’s hand is shackled.’ May their hands be shackled, and may they be cursed for what they said. Rather, both His hands are outspread.” (Al-Ma’idah 5:64)

In the hadith recorded by Muslim in his Ṣaḥīḥ concerning those of the highest rank in Paradise, He says: “They are those whose honor I planted with My two hands and upon which I set a seal.”(5)

Anas ibn Mālik related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah created the Garden of Eden and planted its trees with His hand. Then He said to it, ‘Speak!’ So it said, ‘The believers have indeed succeeded.’”(6)
