for he fully knew what was to come. He then said: “I am leaving among you something which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray: the Book of Allah.” It is also reported from him—Allah bless him and grant him peace—regarding the saved sect that he said: “It is those who are upon what I am upon today, and my Companions.”
