Al-Ḥamawiyyah al-KubrāIbn Taimiya

The Prophet ﷺ illustrated this with a comparison—while to Allah belongs the loftiest likeness, the aim of the example is only to show that such a thing is conceivable, not to liken the Creator to the creation. He said, “There is none among you but that he will behold his Lord in private audience with Him.” Abu Razin al-ʿUqayli asked, “How can that be, Messenger of Allah, when He is One and we are many?” The Prophet ﷺ replied, “I will give you an illustration from among Allah’s signs: this moon—each one of you sees it as though he were alone with it, yet it is only one of Allah’s signs. Allah is Most Great,” or words to that effect. He also said, “You will certainly see your Lord just as you see the sun and the moon.”
