This fatwa is not spacious enough to set out all the competing doubts and opinions and to answer each one. To marshal the proofs, remove every misgiving, and clarify the issue so thoroughly that a cool certainty settles in the heart, while also charting the various positions people have taken amid these bewildering stretches, lies beyond the scope of the present ruling. I have written on some of this before, and I have spoken about parts of it with those who sit with us; and, if Allah wills, I may yet write something that fulfils the intended purpose.

In short, the Book and the Sunnah together provide perfect guidance and light for anyone who ponders the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, is determined to follow the truth, and turns away from twisting words out of their contexts or deviating with regard to the divine names and revelations.
