In sum, our creed is this: we affirm Allah, His angels, His scriptures, and His messengers; we affirm all that they brought from Allah and everything reliably transmitted from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, rejecting none of it. We profess that Allah is One—there is no god but He—unique, self-sufficient, who has taken neither consort nor child; that Muḥammad is His servant and Messenger, sent with guidance and the religion of truth; that the Garden is real, the Fire is real; that the Hour is coming without doubt; and that Allah will raise to life those in the graves.

We profess that Allah is established above His Throne, as He, the Exalted, has said: “The Most Merciful rose over the Throne” (Tāhā 5); that He has a Face, as He has said: “But there remains the Face of your Lord, full of Majesty and Honor” (al-Raḥmān 27); that He has two hands, without ascribing to them any modality, as He has said: “I created with My own two hands” (Ṣād 75) and: “Rather, both His hands are outstretched; He grants as He wills” (al-Māʾidah 64); and that He has two eyes, without enquiring into how, as He has said: “She sailed under Our eyes” (al-Qamar 14).

[وجليل معظَّم، وكبير مفهّم] . وجملة قولنا: أنّا نقر بالله وملائكته وكتبه ورسله، وبما جاؤوا به من عند الله، وبما رواه الثقات عن رسول الله ﷺ، لا نرد من ذلك شيئًا؛ وأن الله واحد لا إله إلا هو، فرد صمد لم يتخذ صاحبة ولا ولدًا، وأن محمدًا عبده ورسوله أرسله بالهدى ودين الحق؛ وأن الجنة حق، والنار حق، وأن الساعة آتية لا ريب فيها، وأن الله يبعث من في القبور. وأن الله مستوٍ على عرشه كما قال تعالى: ﴿الرَّحْمَنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَى﴾ [طه:٥] ، وأن له وجهًا كما قال تعالى: ﴿وَيَبْقَى وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ﴾ [الرحمن:٢٧] ، وأن له يدين بلا كيف، كما قال تعالى: ﴿خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ﴾ [ص:٧٥] ، وكما قال تعالى: ﴿بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاء﴾ [المائدة:٦٤] ، وأن له عينين بلا كيف، كما قال: ﴿تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا﴾ [القمر:١٤] .
