Furthermore, we affirm that whoever lends an ear to singing and frivolous entertainment falls under the Prophet’s—peace and blessings be upon him—warning: “Song causes hypocrisy to sprout in the heart.” Although such a person is not thereby rendered an unbeliever, it is unquestionably sinful misconduct.
