He went on to say, “The next controversy concerned the Qur’an: is it created or uncreated? Our stance, and that of our leading imams, is that the Qur’an is the speech of Allah, uncreated, and that it is one of His attributes: it originated from Him as speech, and to Him it returns in judgment.”
