raises it; and He says, “He governs the affair from the heaven to the earth, then it ascends back to Him” (32:5); and, “The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him” (70:4). He said to Jesus, “I shall take you and raise you up to Me” (3:55); and, “Rather, Allah raised him up to Himself” (4:158); and, “Surely those who are with your Lord are not too proud to worship Him” (7:206).
He also pointed out that if there had truly been other gods, they would have sought a path to the Lord of the Throne, trying to reach Him where He is: “Say: If there were other gods alongside Him, as they claim, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne” (17:42). And He says, “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High” (87:1).

The same holds for His words, “He is the One who is God in heaven and God on earth” (43:84); for His words, “We are closer to him than the jugular vein” (50:16); and for His words, “And He is Allah in the heavens and on the earth; He knows your secret and your public speech” (6:3).
