of Lordship. At this point minds grow weary and the very breath is cut short at the thought of probing into the manner of the One who is worshipped. Therefore, do not incline to either extreme—neither stripping Him of His attributes nor likening Him to the creation. Be content with what Allah has been pleased to affirm for Himself, and stop where His own description stops, in submission, surrender and full assent—without contentious argumentation that repels people and without prying investigation that digs for what was never meant to be uncovered.

He continues: It is He—majestic is He—who said, “Indeed, I am Allah” (Q 28:30), not the bush; the One whose coming is affirmed even before the event itself occurs.
