[The Confessions of Imām al-Ḥaramayn al-Juwaynī]:
Another one of them said, “I plunged into the vast, raging sea; I abandoned the people of Islam and their sciences, and I delved into what they had forbidden me. Now, unless my Lord overtakes me with mercy, woe to so-and-so! Here I am, dying upon the creed of my mother.”
