then it ascends to Him” (Q 32:5).
He, the Most High, also says: “Do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you while it quakes? Or do you feel secure that He who is in the heaven will not send against you a storm of stones? Then you will know how My warning is” (Q 67:16-17).
And He says: “Unto Him the good word ascends, and the righteous deed He elevates” (Q 35:10). He says: “He is the Subjugator above His servants” (Q 6:18). He says: “O Jesus, I will take you and raise you up to Me” (Q 3:55). And He says: “Rather, Allah raised him up to Himself” (Q 4:158).
It is further related through Mālik that the Prophet ﷺ said to a slave-girl, “Where is Allah?” She answered, “In the heaven.” He asked, “And who am I?” She replied, “You are the Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Set her free, for she is a believer.”
He remarked, “Reports of this kind are exceedingly numerous. Exalted is He whose knowledge of what is in the heaven is like His knowledge of what is on the earth. There is no deity but Him, the Most High, the Magnificent.”
