—and reports of a similar nature, far too many for us to enumerate.

Allah the Exalted says, “He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing” (Ash-Shūra 42:11), and, “So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are under Our watchful eyes” (At-Tūr 52:48). He says, “That you may be reared under My eye” (Tā Hā 20:39), and, “What kept you from prostrating to that which I created with My own two hands?” (Ṣād 38:75). He also says, “The whole earth will be in His grasp on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded up in His right hand. Exalted is He and far above what they associate with Him” (Az-Zumar 39:67).

By Allah, nothing makes them grasp the immensity of what He has attributed to Himself, or of all that His grip encompasses, except the very smallness of anything that might be likened to it.
