Ashrat al-Saah - al-WabilYusuf al-Wabil

[al-Ahzāb: 70–71].

To proceed:

Allah Most High sent Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner before the Hour. He left no good without directing his nation to it, and no evil without warning them against it.

Since this nation is the last of all nations and Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—is the Seal of the Prophets, Allah Most High distinguished his nation by causing the signs of the Hour to appear among them. Through His Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—He explained these signs to them with the utmost clarity and completeness, and declared that they would inevitably arise among them. For after Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—there will be no other prophet to explain these signs to humanity, or the momentous events that will occur at the end of time, heralding the destruction of this world and the beginning of a new life in which everyone will be recompensed according to what their own hands have sent forth: “Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.

It is recorded in *Sunan Ibn Mājah*, Book of Marriage, Chapter on the Marriage Sermon, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Masūd, may Allah be pleased with him (vol. 1, pp. 609–610), edited by Muhammad Fuād Abd al-Bāqī (Dār Ihyā al-Turāth al-Arabī, 1395 AH). It was also narrated by Imam Ahmad (vol. 5, p. 272, hadith no. 3721). Ahmad Shākir, its editor, stated: “Its chain through Abū Ubaydah is weak because it is disconnected, whereas its chain through Abū al-Ahwas, Awf ibn Mālik ibn Nadlah, is authentic because it is connected.” *Al-Musnad* (Dār al-Maārif, Egypt, 1367 AH). Regarding the second chain, al-Albānī stated: “It is authentic according to Muslim’s criteria.” *Khutbat al-Hājah*, p. 14. Part of this sermon is also mentioned in *Sahīh Muslim*, Book of Friday Prayer, Chapter on the Prophet’s Friday Sermon, peace and blessings be upon him (vol. 6, p. 157, with al-Nawawī’s commentary), 3rd ed. (Dār al-Fikr, 1389 AH).
