Section Six: The Nearness of the Hour

The noble Quranic verses and authentic hadiths indicate that the Hour is near and rapidly approaching. Indeed, the appearance of most of the signs of the Hour demonstrates its nearness and that we are living in the final days of this world.

Allah Most High says: “The reckoning of mankind has drawn near, yet they turn away in heedlessness (1).” [al-Anbiyā: 1]

He also says: “What will make you realize? Perhaps the Hour is near (63).” [al-Ahzāb: 63]

He also says: “They regard it as distant (6), but We regard it as near.” [al-Maʿārij: 6–7]

He also says: “The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split (1).” [al-Qamar: 1]

There are many other verses indicating that the end of this worldly realm is near and that mankind will pass into another abode, where everyone will receive the recompense for their deeds: if they were good, the outcome will be good; and if they were evil, the outcome will be evil.
