What is meant by the minor signs of the Hour becoming fully manifest is that each sign becomes firmly and pervasively established, such that its opposite occurs only rarely.
-
The fact that something is one of the signs of the Hour does not mean that it is prohibited. Rather, the signs of the Hour include what is forbidden, obligatory, and permissible, as well as good and evil.
-
None of the major signs of the Hour has appeared thus far.
-
When the first of the major signs of the Hour appears, the signs will follow one another like beads on a string, each following the next.
-
The signs of the Hour that have already appeared are miracles of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and proofs of his prophethood, for he foretold that certain things would occur, and they occurred just as he had foretold.
-
The appearance of many signs of the Hour indicates that this world is approaching its destruction and that its end is near. They are like the signs of death that appear upon a dying person.
-
The door of repentance remains open until the sun rises from the west. When it does, that door will be closed until the Day of Resurrection.
-
The sun’s rising from the west is not itself the onset of the Hour. Rather, some worldly affairs will continue thereafter, such as buying, selling, and the like.
-
The last of the major signs of the Hour is the emergence of the fire that will drive people to al-Shām. This gathering will take place in this world before the Day of Resurrection.
-
The Hour will come only upon the most wicked of people.
We ask Allah for well-being. Allah Most High knows best. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. May Allah bestow abundant peace and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
