Conclusion
This contains the most important findings of the study:
-
Belief in the signs of the Hour is part of belief in the unseen, without which a Muslim’s faith is incomplete.
-
Belief in the signs of the Hour forms part of belief in the Last Day.
-
Whatever reports are authentically established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)—whether mass-transmitted or solitary—must be believed and accepted, and may not be rejected. Matters of belief are established by an authentic report, even if it is solitary.
-
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) informed his nation of what had occurred and what would occur until the Hour begins, and the signs of the Hour received the greatest share of his reports.
-
Knowledge of the Hour is among those matters which Allah Most High has reserved for Himself. He has disclosed it neither to an angel brought near nor to a messenger sent forth.
-
No authentic hadith has been established specifying the lifespan of this world.
-
Many of the minor signs of the Hour have already appeared, and only a few remain.
