be able to obtain one” (1).
The Land of Gathering:
At the end of time, people will be gathered in the Levant, which is the Land of Gathering, as stated in authentic hadiths:
-
Among them is the report narrated from Ibn Umar—may Allah be pleased with him and his father—concerning the emergence of the fire. It states: We said, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you command us to do?” He replied, “You must go to the Levant” (2).
-
Imam Ahmad narrated from Hakīm ibn Muāwiya al-Bahzī, from his father … (He then related the hadith, in which the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said:) “Here you will be gathered; here you will be gathered; here you will be gathered”—three times—“some riding, some walking, and some upon your faces.”

Al-Hākim said: “This hadith has an authentic chain of transmission as far as al-Walīd ibn Jumay‘, though neither of them included it.”
Al-Dhahabī said in his abridgment of *al-Mustadrak*: “Muslim narrated from al-Walīd by way of corroboration, and al-Nasā’ī relied upon him as an authority.”
I say: The narrators in al-Nasā’ī’s chain are trustworthy. Among them is al-Walīd ibn Jumay‘: Ibn Ma‘īn and al-‘Ijlī declared him trustworthy; Imām Ahmad and Abū Dāwūd said, “There is no harm in him”; Abū Hātim said, “His hadith is acceptable”; and Ibn Hajar said, “He is truthful but makes mistakes.”

* أرض المحشر:
