Chapter Nine: The Fire That Will Gather the People
Among these signs is the emergence of the great fire. It is the last of the major signs of the Hour and the first of the signs heralding the onset of the Hour.
Where It Will Emerge:
Reports state that this fire will emerge from Yemen, from the depths of Aden (1). Other reports state that it will emerge from the Sea of Hadramawt.
The following is a selection of hadiths identifying where this fire will emerge. They constitute evidence that it will indeed appear.
- In the hadith of Hudhayfa ibn Usayd concerning the major signs of the Hour, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The last of these will be a fire emerging from Yemen, driving the people to their place of assembly.”
(1) Aden is the well-known city in Yemen, in the south of the Arabian Peninsula. It lies on the Sea of Hadramawt, now known as the Arabian Sea.

الفصل التّاسع: النّار الّتي تحشر النَّاس
ومنها خروج النّار العظيمة، وهي آخر أشراط السّاعة الكبرى، وأول الآيات المؤذِنة بقيام السّاعة.
* مكان خروجها:
جاءت الروايات بأن خروج هذه النّار يكون من اليمن، من قعرة عدن (١)، وتخرج من بحر حضرموت؛ كما جاء في روايات أخرى.
وإليك طائفة ممّن الأحاديث الّتي تبيِّن مكان خروج هذه النّار، وهي من الأدلَّة على ظهورها.
١ - جاء في حديثَ حذيفة بن أسيد في ذكر أشراط السّاعة الكبرى قوله ﷺ: "وآخر ذلك نارٌ تخرج من اليمن، تطرد النَّاس إلى محشرهم".
(١) (عدن): هي المدينة المعروفة في اليمن جنوب الجزيرة العربيّة، وهي واقعة على بحر حضرموت، ويسمى اليوم: البحر العربي.
