the emergence of the Antichrist, whom Jesus (peace be upon him) will kill.

He will descend to refute the Christians and expose the falsity of their baseless claims. In his time, Allah will cause all religions except Islam to perish: he will break the cross, kill the swine, and abolish the jizya.
He has been singled out for these aforementioned matters because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I am the closest of all people to Jesus, son of Mary; there was no prophet between him and me” (1).

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is thus the person with the closest bond to him and the nearest to him. Jesus announced that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would come after him, and he called people to believe and have faith in him (2), as in the words of Allah Most High: “And bringing good news of a messenger to come after me whose name is Ahmad” [al-Saff: 6]. In the hadith, they asked: “O Messenger of Allah, tell us about yourself.” He replied: “Yes. I am the answer to the prayer of my father Abraham and the glad tidings given by my brother Jesus” (3).

خروج الدَّجَّال، فيقتله عيسى ﵇. ٤ - إنّه ينزل مكذِّبًا للنصارى، فيُظْهِر زيفهم في دعواهم الأباطيل، ويُهْلِك الله المللَ كلها في زمنه إِلَّا الإسلام؛ فإنّه يكسر الصلّيب، ويقتل الخنزير، ويضع الجزية. ٥ - إن خصوصيته بهذه الأمور المذكورة لقول النّبيّ ﷺ: "أنا أولى النَّاس بعيسى بن مريم، ليس بيني وبينه نبيٌّ" (١). فرسول الله ﷺ أخص النَّاس به، وأقربهم إليه؛ فإن عيسى بشَّر بأن رسول الله ﷺ يأتي من بعده، ودعا الخلق إلى تصديقه والإِيمان به (٢)؛ كما في قوله تعالى: ﴿وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ﴾ [الصف: ٦]. وفي الحديث: "قالوا: يا رسول الله! أخبرنا عن نفسك؟ قال: نعم؛ أنا دعوة أبي إبراهيم بشرى أخي عيسى" (٣).
