3 — Muslim narrated from Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) say: “A group of my nation will continue fighting for the truth and remaining victorious until the Day of Resurrection.” He then said: “Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him), will descend, and their leader will say, ‘Lead us in prayer.’ He will reply, ‘No. Some of you are leaders over others, as an honor Allah has bestowed upon this nation.’” (1).

4 — The hadith of Hudhayfa ibn Usayd concerning the major signs of the Hour was cited earlier. It includes: “And the descent of Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him).” (2)

5 — Imam Ahmad narrated from Abū Hurayra that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: “The prophets are paternal half-brothers: their mothers are different, but their religion is one. I am the closest of all people to Jesus, son of Mary, for there was no prophet between him and me. He will indeed descend, so when you see him, recognize him.” (3).
