and tore out the Black Stone and carried it away to their own land. They then returned it after a long time. Nevertheless, what happened did not contradict the noble verse, because it was perpetrated by Muslims and those claiming affiliation with them. This accords with the narration of Imam Ahmad stating that none but its own people will violate the sanctity of the Sacred House. Thus it happened just as the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had foretold. It will happen again at the end of time, and the House will never be rebuilt thereafter, when not a single Muslim remains on the face of the earth.” (1)

وقلعوا الحجر الأسود، وحملوه إلى بلادهم، ثمّ أعادوه بعد مدة طويلة، ومع ذلك لم يكن ما حدث معارِضًا للآية الكريمة؛ لأنّ ذلك إنّما وقع بأيدي المسلمين والمنتسبين إليهم، فهو مطابقٌ لما جاء في رواية الإِمام أحمد من أنّه لا يستحلُّ البيت الحرام إِلَّا أهله، فوقع ذلك كما أخبر النّبيّ ﷺ، وسيقع ذلك آخر الزّمان؛ لا يُعَمَّرُ مرّة أخرى، حين لا يبقى على ظهر الأرض مسلم" (١).
