“He will besiege the believers in Jerusalem, and they will be shaken by a mighty shaking. Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will destroy him and his forces, until even the base of a wall—or he said, ‘the foundation of a wall’; Hasan al-Ashyab (1) said, ‘and the base of a tree’—will call out—or he said, will say—‘O believer!’—or he said, ‘O Muslim! Here is a Jew’—or he said, ‘Here is a disbeliever! Come and kill him.’”
He said: “That will not happen until you witness events whose gravity becomes ever greater in your minds, and you ask one another: ‘Did your Prophet ever mention any of these things to you?’” (2).
Al-Bukhārī and Muslim narrated from Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The Hour will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews and the Muslims kill them, until a Jew hides behind a stone or a tree, whereupon the stone or tree will say: ‘O Muslim! O servant of Allah! There is a Jew behind me; come and kill him’—except for the gharqad (3), for it is one of the Jews’ trees” (4).
This is Muslim’s wording.
