condemn any evil” (1).

The second interpretation is that Allah will no longer be mentioned on earth, nor will His name be known there. This will occur when the age has become corrupt, the human race is being destroyed, and disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience abound” (2).

14—The Growing Numbers of Police and the Agents of Oppressors

Imam Ahmad narrated from Abū Umāma, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “At the end of time, there will be men in this nation—or he said: men will emerge from this nation at the end of time—carrying whips like the tails of cattle. They will set out in the morning under Allah’s displeasure and return in the evening under His wrath” (3).

In a version narrated by al-Tabarānī in al-Kabīr: “At the end of time, there will be police who set out in the morning under Allah’s wrath and return in the evening under His displeasure. Beware of becoming one of their entourage” (4).
