In the Z copy, after the scribe’s colophon, it reads: “The transcription was completed in the month of Ramadan, 830 AH, on Thursday, the eve of the blessed Friday. It was written by Yusuf ibn Ahmad, known as Ibn Sulaymanah. May Allah forgive the copyist … everyone who examines it, and all Muslims.” In the H copy the colophon states: “Completed in his own hand—while hoping for his Lord’s mercy—by His servant, the son of His servant and of His bondwoman, Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Salim. May Allah forgive him, his parents, his teachers in religion, and his Muslim brethren. I finished writing it on the twentieth of Ramadan, 1318 AH from the Hijra of the one upon whom be the choicest blessings and peace.”
