Futyā fī Ṣīghat al-ḤamdIbn al-Qayyim

O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, nor can wealth avail its possessor before You.” (1)

Al-Bukhārī narrated in his Sahīh that Rifāʿah ibn Rāfiʿ al-Zuraqī said:

We were praying behind the Prophet ﷺ. When he raised his head from bowing, he said: “Allah hears those who praise Him.” A man behind him said: “Our Lord, to You belongs all praise—abundant, pure and blessed praise.” When he finished the prayer, he asked: “Who spoke?” The man replied: “I did.” He said: “I saw thirty-odd angels racing to be the first to record those words.” (2)

In the Sahīhs of al-Bukhārī and Muslim, Ibn ʿAbbās reported:

When the Prophet ﷺ rose to pray at night, he would say: “O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth and all who dwell therein. To You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all who dwell therein. To You belongs all praise. You are the Truth, Your promise is true, the meeting with You is true, Paradise is true, the Fire is true, and the prophets are true…” The hadith continues. (3)

In Sahīh Muslim, ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar said:
