—calm and measured; its outcome, for the impartial observer, is an admission that the Shaykh—may Allah have mercy on him—prevailed over his opponents by elucidating the truth of this issue, a truth drawn from the Book of Allah, the Sunnah of His Messenger, and the statements of the righteous predecessors—may Allah be pleased with them.
Regarding the schools of thought on this issue, the Muʿtazilites are cited for comparison to illustrate points of agreement and disagreement—and this occurs frequently; the other schools, however, are mentioned only rarely.
هادئة، كانت نتيجتها -للمحايد- الاعتراف بانتصار الشَّيخ -رحمه الله- على خصومه ببيان الحق في هذه المسألة المستمدة من كتاب الله وسنة رسوله وأقوال السلف الصالح -رضوان الله عليهم.
