Nor does it harm the Muslims that Hindus and other disbelievers may exaggerate in letting their beards grow, for this is counted as their imitation of the Muslims—whether intentional or accidental. In this respect they are still better than the Magians, who shave their beards, mutilate them, and contravene the guidance of the divinely sent prophets.
