the beard of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, which is decisively reported to have been thick, full, and splendid? Will you say that it disfigured his face? Or how shall we answer your groundless words—words you never examined nor reflected on the grave consequences they entail, consequences that could even drive their speaker out of Islam? So fear Allah, O writer, and take stock of yourself before you are taken to account for your false utterances. Strive to escape the dilemma into which you have plunged yourself, and do not be among those of whom Allah says: “When he is told, ‘Fear Allah,’ pride in sin seizes him; Hell will suffice for him, and what an evil resting-place it is” (Qur’an 2:206).
