Within the nation of Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—there is an unrivaled commitment to al-amr bi’l-maʿrūf (enjoining what is right) and an-nahy ʿan al-munkar (forbidding what is wrong). This commitment secures the welfare of Allah’s servants in both their worldly life and their life to come, and nothing comparable existed in the two earlier communities.
