And the Exalted One said:

“Allah only intends to remove all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and to purify you completely.” (al-Ahzab 33:33)

He, Most High, also said with regard to the creational command:

“His command, when He wills a thing, is only to say to it, ‘Be!’—and it is.” (Ya Sin 36:82)

Likewise—according to the stronger of the two explanations—He, Exalted is He, said:

“When We intend to destroy a town, We command its affluent people, but they transgress therein; so the sentence becomes binding upon it.” (al-Israʾ 17:16)
