for I called you, yet you did not respond; I spoke to you, but you would not listen, and you committed evil before My very eyes.”

Isaiah also said:

“God has loathed the Children of Israel. He has driven them out of their dwellings and out of His House, and He will not pardon them, for they are accursed—made the curse of mankind. Therefore God destroyed them and scattered them among the nations; He will never again show them mercy or look upon them with compassion for all eternity. On that day, in that age, they will bring no offering or sacrifice to God, and the Children of Israel will find no joy, for they have strayed from God, Mighty and Majestic.”

Jeremiah the Prophet—peace be upon him—said:

“Just as the Ethiopian cannot change his skin and become white, so the Children of Israel will not abandon their wicked habit. Therefore I will show no mercy, feel no compassion, nor pity that evil nation, nor shall I mourn for it.”

دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُجِيبُوا وَكَلَّمْتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا، وَعَمِلْتُمُ الشَّيْءَ بَيْنَ يَدِيَّ) . وَقَالَ أَشْعِيَا أَيْضًا: (إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ بَغَضَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِمْ وَمِنْ بَيْتِهِ وَلَا يَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ لِأَنَّهُمْ لَعْنَةٌ، وَجُعِلُوا لَعْنَةَ النَّاسِ فَلِذَلِكَ أَهْلَكَهُمُ اللَّهُ، وَبَدَّدَهُمْ بَيْنَ الْأُمَمِ، وَلَا يَعُودُ يَرْحَمُهُمْ وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ بِرَحْمَةٍ إِلَى أَبَدِ الْآبِدِينَ، وَلَا يُقَرِّبُونَ لِلَّهِ قُرْبَانًا وَلَا ذَبِيحَةً فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَذَلِكَ الزَّمَانِ، وَلَا يَفْرَحُ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّوا عَنِ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ -) . وَقَالَ أَرْمِيَا النَّبِيُّ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ -: (كَمَا أَنَّ الْحَبَشِيَّ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَبْيَضًا، فَكَذَلِكَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ لَا يَتْرُكُونَ عَادَتَهُمُ الْخَبِيثَةَ، وَلِذَلِكَ إِنِّي لَا أَرْحَمُ، وَلَا أُشْفِقُ، وَلَا أَرِقُّ عَلَى الْأُمَّةِ الْخَبِيثَةِ وَلَا أَرْثِي لَهَا) .
