“It is not for any human being to whom Allah has given the Scripture, authority, and prophethood to say to the people, ‘Be servants to me instead of Allah.’ Rather, he would say, ‘Be rabbāniyyīn—people devoted to the Lord—because you teach the Book and you study it.’” ⦗Al ʿImran 79⦘ (79)

“Nor would he command you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he command you to disbelief after you have submitted?” ⦗Al ʿImran 80⦘ (80)

Thus He has also stated that whoever takes the angels or the prophets as lords is indeed a disbeliever.

And He, Exalted is He, said: “They have certainly disbelieved who say, ‘Allah is one of three.’ There is no god but the One God; and if they do not desist from what they say, a painful punishment will afflict those among them who disbelieve.” ⦗Al-Māʾidah 73⦘ (73)

“Will they not then repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” ⦗Al-Māʾidah 74⦘ (74)

“The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a messenger; messengers passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both used to eat food. See how We make the signs clear to them; then see how they are deluded.” ⦗Al-Māʾidah 75⦘ (75)

“Say, ‘Do you worship, apart from Allah, that which can neither harm you nor benefit you? Yet Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.’” ⦗Al-Māʾidah 76⦘ (76)

(Thus He reproached the adherents of the Trinity for worshipping what can neither harm nor benefit them, whereas Allah alone is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.)
