He, the Exalted, also says: “If you do good, you do so for your own selves; but if you do evil, it is against it” ⦗al-Isrāʾ 7⦘.
Indeed, the Exalted said to His Prophet:
“Lower your wing to those who follow you from among the believers” ⦗al-Shuʿarāʾ 215⦘,
“but if they disobey you, then say, ‘I am innocent of what you do.’” ⦗al-Shuʿarāʾ 216⦘.
Thus, if Allah has absolved him of the sin of those believing followers who disobey him, how could He not exonerate him from the disbelief of the unbelievers, whose defiance and opposition are even greater?!
{إِنْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا}
{وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ}
{فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ}
.
