just as the Exalted has said:
“Allah would never lead a people astray after He has guided them, until He has made clear to them what they must avoid.” (Qur’an 9:115)
By their own reckoning, the Christians feel no need for such clarity; in their view, they are not bound to follow a body of law transmitted from the Messiah—peace be upon him. Instead, they allow their senior authorities to institute doctrines the Messiah himself never legislated, claiming: “Whatever these leaders prescribe, the Messiah has prescribed.” Consequently, they devote neither care nor study to the Messiah’s law in the way Muslims are devoted to, and knowledgeable of, the law of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
{وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَاهُمْ حَتَّى يُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ مَا يَتَّقُونَ}
.
