As for the religious ordinances they now observe, their scholars know that most of them are not from the Messiah—peace be upon him—for he never prescribed for them to pray facing the East, nor to keep the Fifty-Day Fast, nor to situate it in the springtime, nor to celebrate Christmas, the Epiphany, the Feast of the Cross, or any of the other such observances.
