Al-Jawāb as-Sahīh li-man baddala dīn al-Masīh - Ibn Taimiya - (3/12)

—in the land of Paran mentioned in the First Scripture—Allah, exalted be He, says:

“And when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House, together with Ishmael, he prayed, ‘Our Lord, accept this from us; indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.’” ⦗2:127⦘ (127)

“Our Lord, make us two Muslims in full surrender to You, and from our offspring raise up a community that will be Muslim for You. Show us our rites, and turn toward us in mercy; indeed, You are the Ever-Relenting, the Merciful.” ⦗2:128⦘ (128)

“Our Lord, send among them a messenger from their own midst who will recite to them Your revelations, teach them the Book and the Wisdom, and purify them. Surely You are the Mighty, the Wise.” ⦗2:129⦘ (129)

The Prophet—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said:

“Indeed, I have been given the Book and something equal to it alongside it.”

بِأَرْضِ فَارَانَ الْمَذْكُورَةِ فِي الْكِتَابِ الْأَوَّلِ قَالَ - تَعَالَى -: {وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ} [البقرة: ١٢٧] (١٢٧) {رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُسْلِمَةً لَكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ} [البقرة: ١٢٨] (١٢٨) {رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ} [البقرة: ١٢٩] . وَقَالَ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: ( «أَلَا إِنِّي أُوتِيتُ الْكِتَابَ وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ» ) .
