And He—exalted is He—also says:

“We certainly sent messengers before you; of them are some whose stories We have related to you, and of them are others whose stories We have not related to you.” ⦗Ghāfir: 78⦘

As for the disciples, Allah—exalted is He—mentions them in the Quran and characterizes them as Muslims, as followers of the Messenger, and as believers in Allah. He revealed:

“When Jesus sensed disbelief from them, he said, ‘Who are my helpers in Allah’s cause?’ The disciples said, ‘We are Allah’s helpers; we believe in Allah, so bear witness that we submit—our Lord, we believe in what You have sent down and we follow the Messenger; so register us among those who bear witness.’” ⦗Āl ʿImrān: 52–53⦘

He—exalted is He—also says:

“And [remember] when I inspired the disciples: ‘Believe in Me and in My Messenger.’ They said, ‘We believe, so bear witness that we submit.’” ⦗al-Māʾidah: 111⦘

And He—exalted is He—says:

“O you who believe, be Allah’s helpers, just as Jesus son of Mary said to the disciples, ‘Who are my helpers in Allah’s cause?’ The disciples said, ‘We are Allah’s helpers.’ Then a faction of the Children of Israel believed while another disbelieved. So We strengthened those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.” ⦗al-Ṣaff: 14⦘
