And in His statement—exalted is He—
“He has ordained for you, as religion, what He enjoined upon Noah, and what We have revealed to you, and what We enjoined upon Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: ‘Uphold the religion and do not become divided in it.’” ⦗al-Shūrā: 13⦘
Thus, the religion of Allah’s messengers is one and the same, exactly as Allah has clarified in His Book and as is authentically recorded in the two Ṣaḥīḥs from the Prophet ﷺ, who said:
“We, the company of prophets, share one religion, and the person most closely linked to the son of Mary is I, for no prophet comes between him and me.”
The title “messengers” likewise embraces those whom He has not named individually in the Quran. Allah, exalted is He, says:
“Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets who came after him; and We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, and to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and We gave David the Psalms—messengers We have already related to you and messengers We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses directly—messengers who brought glad tidings and warnings, so that mankind would have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And Allah is Mighty, Wise.” ⦗al-Nisāʾ: 163–165⦘
