his people. I will now tell you something about him that no prophet before me ever told his nation: he is one-eyed, whereas your Lord is not one-eyed. Between his eyes the word “Kāfir” (K F R) is written, and every believer—whether able to read or not—will recognize it. He also said, “Be aware that none of you will see his Lord until he dies.”

The Prophet further informed us that the Messiah of guidance, Jesus son of Mary, will descend to earth at the white minaret to the east of Damascus and will slay the Messiah of misguidance. This is the figure the Jews are waiting for while they deny the true Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, and they will declare, “This is the one foretold by the prophets!” Seventy thousand Jews from Isfahan, all wearing cloaks, will follow him, and the Muslims together with Jesus son of Mary will kill them in the most dreadful manner, until the very trees and stones will cry out, “O Muslim, there is a Jew behind me—come here!”
