Was the intent of Allah and His Messenger Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—to refer to those whom Allah Himself dispatched, or to those whom His Messenger sent out? It is a point of absolute certainty that Muhammad did not include the latter in such a designation. Accordingly, whoever claims that Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—meant by it those whom he himself had appointed as envoys has lied about Muhammad—peace and blessings be upon him—whether deliberately or in error.
