“…Have you not seen those who claim that they believe in what was sent down to you and what was sent down before you, yet they wish to seek judgment from the rebellious tyrant, even though they were commanded to reject him? Satan only wants to lead them far astray. When it is said to them, ‘Come to what Allah has sent down and to the Messenger,’ you see the hypocrites turn completely away from you. But how will it be when a calamity befalls them because of what their own hands have sent ahead, then they come to you swearing by Allah, ‘We wanted nothing but goodwill and reconciliation’? Those are the ones whose secrets Allah knows; so turn away from them, admonish them, and speak to them penetrating words about themselves. We sent no messenger except that he should be obeyed by Allah’s permission. If, when they had wronged themselves, they had come to you, sought Allah’s forgiveness, and the Messenger had prayed for their forgiveness, they would surely have found Allah Ever-Relenting, Merciful. But no—by your Lord! They will not truly believe until they make you judge in all their disputes, then find in themselves no discomfort regarding what you decide, and submit in full submission.” ⦗4:60–65⦘
It is therefore clear that the messengers whom Allah mentions in His statement, “Indeed, We sent Our messengers with clear proofs” ⦗57:25⦘, include all the messengers whom Allah, exalted is He, has ever sent. Foremost among them are the messengers He explicitly says in the Quran that He dispatched to His servants. Hence the falsity of their claim that these were only the disciples becomes evident.
The third point: He also says, “Indeed, We sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and We sent down with them the Book and the Balance so that people might uphold justice. And We sent down iron, in which there is fierce might and benefits for people, so that Allah may know those who support Him and His messengers without seeing Him. Surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.” ⦗57:25⦘
Here He mentions that He sent down iron as well, so that it may become manifest who strives in Allah’s path by means of iron.
